ive been tossing the idea of trying to put this together for quite some time now, and finally decided to. there's *huge* holes here, mostly cause these records were near-impossible to get in the states in the 80s, and are even more so now. id have more catalogue #s, but i cant seem to find the inner sleeve for "those who do not", which had a catalogue printed on it... if youve got any of these albums, or any further info to add to this discography, feel free to email me! some of the albums listed alphabetically at the bottom of the page may have merely been distributed by gramm, not actual gramm releases - im looking to clear that up. also, im sure theres plenty of misspellings due to my us keyboards lack of special characters - let me know what they are, and ill correct them in html.
gramm records was started in around 1981, as an outlet for icelandic independant music. long story short, it eventually become smekkleysa/bad taste. more later. my interest in the label started with my introduction to icelandic punk in the form of kukl, via crass records, and then the inevitable links to current 93 (through höh, þeyr, psychic tv etc) and killing joke (through þeyr), and went from there...
